She was reading beside the window in the first floor of a little and cute tea house.
Outside, the sun was shining and the street was absolutly noisy and crowded. The kids were running out of the sight of their parents who tried to keep them closer, two dogs were barking one each other without a clear reason and three boys were happily chating, walking slowly by their bikes and blocking nearly half of the street. It was an absolut chaos.
But her room was in silence, in fact, she was the only person sitting in there. On the table, there was a vase with some lavender flowers, a cup with some tea, the teapot and the book.
When she saw him, he was standing on the other side of the street looking absent-mindedly up and down. The street seemed now more interesting than before, but after five minuts of standing there, he made his way. And she re-opened the book from where she had closed; still having his image in her mind.
Steps in the stairs brought her back to the real world, she could not say how many seconds, minuts or hours had passed. But soon she came back to her lecture, a part of her brain recognized of the door opening and classified it automatically as an atmosphere noise.
The new customer ordered a tea and, even the door had not distract her, his voice did so. She rose her head and looked for the origin of the new sound, just to find that the guy standing in the street was now there, sitting in a table in front of her.
The waiter opened again the door carring a tray with the tea and he left closing the door behind him.
At that point, she realized she would not be able to focus her mind on the book again so she closed the it again and filled her cup with more tea; it was nearly finished... And she stood there, doing nothing, just looking again through the window. The kids have disapeared, as so the guys with the bikes and the dogs but the street was still noisy and crowded.
From the tip of the eyes, she so him moving and, for some reason, moved her sight out of the window. She took her cup with both hands, feeling the warmth of the aromatic liquid and moved slowly to drink it.
Both were moving at the same time and, for one instant, they looked at each others eyes. She did not pretend to and maybe he didn't either, it just happened. It was just a brief flash.
"It's been nice" she thought for herself smiling without being conscious
-Thanks- he said from his place.
And after that, just silence.
This moments fill life with some kind of magic... They're great!
